I remember lots of guys dancing like they were Kung Fu fighting - indeed these guys were fast as lightening - and if I'm honest it was a little bit frightening........

Long time - no play, and one of those tracks that instantly puts you back on that Station Rd floor.

This seems to be one of those tracks that's too rare for one side of the scene - and not rare enough for the other, so doesn't get the plays it should.

An Adidas 3-Stripe T-Shirt and Trainers were much more the 'Uniform' I remember from the day rather than the String vests and Bowling Shirts which todays lot seem to think everyone wore....

Used to always go to Wigan in a pair of Como's along with a pair of Samba 3 stripes in my bag, and would change depending how the floor felt.

Probably the extra grip trainers offer due to all the people who cant seem to constuct the most basic of 2-Step Northern Soul dances without having a 2" deep carpet of foot odour products for a 30 foot radius around them on the dancefloor.

There are probably as yet undiscovered tribes of pygmies deep in the Amazonian rain forest who could recite the lyrics to Ruby Andrews.......... AND Moses Smith!.

Always thought The Lovelites would have been a floor filler this time round given it's tempo and production yet not heard it played out in years.

To save an hour of your life here's a summary...... Back in the 60's a Mod from the Smoke moved up Norf' and got a job at the local Pit, he then swapped his scooter for a 2 up - 2 down Terrace and half a pound of Black Pudding, then spent all of the 70's dancing around the local bingo hall to Sugar Pie Honey bunch, except for a short period when a rich bloke from Blackpool played some Disco tunes he didn't like. However all the DJ's who invented Northern soul in the first place got together and sorted all the rubbish out so now all the Young souls only have quality rare soul to listen to like Duffy and Tribute. Sadly however he died on the 31/12/79 after overdosing on his Whippets worming tablets which he mistook for Chalkies.
