De-Lites On Cuppy "lover"
Had the Grapevine since it came out and liked the record for years, a bit tired of my copy so an original would look n' sound good in the box. I have seen at least 4 on ebay this year, my mate said he's seen a few more- some guy had a few.

Faye Adams - The Hammer
Are you sure Steve, issue looks the same as the demo, bar a nice shiny label, dead wax says small raised dot H-1294 - 45 unless the dots a dead fly? It sounds the same as evey other copy I have listened to.

More Blatant Bootlegs ?
Was out on Friday night @SHS and had the pleasure of Mark Forests collection to hear with a dance to Lester Frekin Tipton included. Went on to another club only to listen to CARVERS of My Proposal, a boot of The Parliament's Cable should have gone home sooner but! then the delight of seeing Gwen Owens on a WLP being played and to then realise how Two Plus Two fits in to the equation. For me the playing of boots in a club undermines the fun of going out to hear these rare records, plenty of 20-40 even 60 £ records unknown that could be played in a clever way rather than a £40 carver to boost the ego of the DJ, quiet sad I thought but each to his own. Pick my venues a bit more selectively in future.

Would Anyone Grade This Record Ex+ ? (Bought On Soul Source)
Hi Miss G, a polished or skimmed record has if any small marks in the plastic rounded off and will have lost the sharp edge to the mark or scuff, glaze or shine will be affected as well. I had a G- Panic Is On demo, for personal use! I used some Brasso (hence my term Polish) and removed 80% of the marks but the disc was frooked, sold it on then a week later its in the sales box as M-? more elbow grease and Tcut. I think the term skimmed makes it sound professional like there is some special equipment used by a boffin in a white coat and not a bottle of car cleaner with Granny's old silk bloomers to buff it up. A funny record is Cub The Wanderers Somebody Else's Sweetheart, A side is clean but the B side looks polished on all the copy's I have seen.
