couldnt agree more with you paul...a good record is a good record regardless of price....its a shame the trophy aspect of collecting has become our ultimate obsession...

yes the above named dj's certainly have very rare records....i presume by bubble we are really talking about the ageing population of northern soul events...cant wait for the nursing home dj roatation myself!!!!!!! i guess the other bubble would be the zooming price of northern and modern soul records...its all about disposable income i guess....and foresight in simply buying records that you like...????

plain and simple its a great record that's worth 5.00 ..500... or 5000 what price quality?? soul snobs always push their nose up in the air when its cheap....yet are happy to pay huge amounts for average records???something to do with rarity perhaps???

ellipsis...... great record would have worked at clifton halls thorne the more progressive venues i am sure poke played ellipsis at clifton??? dj genesis more of a garage thing but very good it would have fitted in with wigan maybe sam arthur and richard all played new releases eg king tutt/cl blast but the majority of punters i remember shouting """get this funk off" HOW TIMES CHANGE!!!!!

hi when is a bootleg a bootleg when the original owner gives permission to release it i do believe that some of the grapevine releases do not have full rights does this make them bootlegs???i do not think so if they have gone through the correct channels for me a bootleg is when an individual without permission from the legal authorities (mcps ascap or even the label owner)releases a record....remember the artist unless it was their own label has no right to release a record. should cause some interest!!!!!!!!!!
