  1. Thanks Ian & Paul Tony do you want to buy one then ?
  2. Anyone have any idea of going rate of first 3 6ts Anniversary singles ? Thanks Dave
  3. Any idea what form the pleas from mcartney & jagger took ? Was it a "come on people dig deep if you want to keep Club 100 open" ? No one should be expected to contribute just because they're loaded but if you're involved in a campaign which fell short of the dosh required surely if they had felt down the back of one of their sofas they would have found the dosh required ? Not to worry I'll dig out my Converse boots in homage for the next 6ts
  4. The Chinese was still there in the 70s, I used to go to Greg Edwards soul/funk nights on a thursday ( I was only 7 ) & I'm certain it was open then. Funnily enough I was talking to somebody just recently about the 100 club chinese

Too right Lenny, on the odd occasion that I dj I always keep my records with me, even taking them to the loo. Obssesive maybe but a lot more difficult for somebody to nick 'em when I'm holding on to them Some people may take the piss at me lugging them about but better safe than sorry It's certainly not my mates that I don't trust , it's the people that I don't know that I am careful about The nicking of girlies handbags seem to have gone up recently. I had a jacket stolen from under my nose years ago & realise how quickly something can be taken,
  6. It may mean nothing Dave but i did try & buy something from Monster about a month ago & he didn't reply to my PM but did post on sales thread that the record had been sold. Proof of nothing of course but he could have said to me yes send the dosh etc. As a matter of interest to see if it was the same record I was after what were you trying to buy ? Hope it gets sorted Dave
  7. Probably not Doc, I was just thinking of something very fast to "fit" with the dancing but as i mentioned I first saw the clip with the original music from the film & thats the one that does it for me. Enjoyed the Boston clip, nice one mate Dave
  8. In truth Doc I doubt the lads were dancing to any music ? The clip that Albertfish put up is what I first heard from youtube & to me the music fits in perfectly. Thanks for posting the Hellzapoppin clip & again the original music from the 1941 film is the music I associate with the dancing , 2 can have a party tagged on, just doesn't do it for me. Hoofy Foofy ???
  9. As Albertfish says the original music is certainly the best Somebody else posted this up a short while back. Fantastic could watch it again & again. Stick Hellzapoppin' Swing Dance Scene into youtube search for the most brilliant bit of dancing you'll ever see. Perhaps some kind person can stick a link up From the 1941 film hellzapoppin'....................Perhaps someone could dub "C.O.Ds She's Fire" over it lol

  14. Paid £40 from Butch bout 5/6 years ago, wouldn't think it's gone up too much ? Great tune remember it being played yonks ago possibly Wigan ? Cheapish but difficult to turn up I think
  15. Hi Keith You sure it's the same as Keanya Collins ? I've read that in the past & always thought the only similarity is the song title. Mind you I could never be arsed to find my copies to compare 'em Best Dave
  16. Hi Marc Exactly mate, once 1 emerges it can bring others out for the right price. Thanks I'm sure Alex / John Harris will go down brilliantly at SHS, they'll dance to quality newies/semi knowns the same as to stuff they know Always quality guests at Solid Hit All best Dave
