yes i'm pretty sure innersouls has been reissued. "do right man" is a bit special for me one of my all time favourites. The other "i'm a man" hardly ever gets a mention. It will when one of the big boys gets behind it and all the sheep get a bit excited.

some great funky soul i've had and I would enjoy listening to at a soul night / nighter barbara hall "tell me tell me" buddy cantrell "you ain't no good" sarah simpson "never a dull moment" little beaver "i'm a man" little beaver "do right man" innersouls on plemmons (then somebody could flip it over for the equally good if not better mid pace soul masterpiece) fred knight on maxine

I dismissed it as a fairly avegare at best record years ago and decided it was never going to have any appeal...... the flip is quite nice though.
  4. just one gone some great stuff here for an upfront or freestyle room that gets a decent open minded crowd. sarah simpson for example.
  5. maybe so but the flip is great deep soul which also came out on jet set. so its got some justifiable value IMO.
  6. sunday afternoon bump.........
  7. i'm not sure what the fancy wine bar and resaurants crowd would make of the northern soul riff raff invading their lovely little village.
  8. so would I. to compare it to football Man Utd get the biggest crowds and win the most trophies but that doesn't mean we all support them. some of us follow a team with hardly any fans and get just as much pleasure from it.
  9. one or two appeared on my lists first you need to look more closely.... steve's on the ball and has great knowledge and ear. as do bob and adam.

  11. I actually think this is a fantastic record so not totally in line with the thread as it started just highlightling the huge price swing.
  12. no within their genre I like both these records. Prehaps a little disco in places on the cheaper but good vocals and pretty much guarantee a full floor as they are very catchy and jolly.
  13. another one for the debate richard marks on free spirit seems to have dropped a hell of a lot but doesn't seem any more common to me ? just a handful of lesser condition cppies recently thats all. I'm not aware of a qty of M- ones ? https://www.popsike.com/php/quicksearch.php?searchtext=richard+marks&x=0&y=0
  14. The opportunities for me to get a spot have been zero....... a bit dissapointing realy but what can you do ? I don't want to become a regular DJ but it would have been nice to have been asked just once or twice.
  15. i'm very surpsised this hasn't sold ?
  16. would like to hear the flip to the ronnie record that started the thread if anybody has an mp3..... it might be a decent ballad as well ?

can someone put up a few key examples of this genre ? when we've discussed this before the funky soul I like isn't actually the same as funky soul........
  18. yes seb I knew there were 2 on the label its the love bones record that went from your freak results down to the price it is now. I thought those freak results of yours were typical of the price it used to sell for that was the mistake I made.
  19. To those that are in on the joke thats good but a lot of poeple obviously won't be in on the joke and believe he is being serious.
  20. is James Phelps generally regarded as the best version ? I quite like the John Edwards. JP is good i'm just not sure its any better than some of the others.
  21. the record discussed here sounds very average if I pulled that out a sales box and it was priced up at $10 i'd listen to it and put it back. I have no idea of its rarity or demand so would just judge it on what it sounds like. here is an example of a record that seems to have gone from $300 to $30 https://www.popsike.com/php/quicksearch.php?searchtext=las+vegas+connection&x=0&y=0 is it any less rare now than it was or is it just lack of demand ? I wonder which price out of the two people would reference when selling ?
  22. he won't need to sell many records with that kind of mark up and he will be able to stay on and do a masters and a PHD.
