  1. banny price "monkey see monkey do" is a fantastic instrumental full of dancefloor potential. lives in a shadows of his other 45.
  2. i'd like to hear the sam williams a side if you have a short clip you could post up or PM me. regards, dylan
  3. prehaps more people waking up to these tracks you like and look for ? more poeple moving towards lesser known 45s ?
  4. this debate does crop up a lot. if you like the music and the scene stick at it and find your way it will be an interesting journe. Some clubs you will like and others you won't. for me its one of the only true underground scenes.
  5. is this the same united as black exotics and mixed feelings ?
  6. this certainly seems the rarer of his 2 on this label. Frank i've you to thank for putting me onto both of these and this one took much longer to find.

yes it is the same guy.
  8. i'm sure that auction price is a freak although I don't have the 45 i've seen a few and its never gone over $20 i've just been a bit lazy with getting my bid on. I know here other on sonja goes for a lot due to R&B demand so possibly somebody got the 2 45s mixed up ?

good find. that $1500 popsike was listed on a forum for around $400ish and promptly baught then immediaely resold for the price you can see. that was the only time i've got close to a decent price copy of this 45. very good double sider.
  10. I have an eddie williams record on corsair called "tears had fallen" not sure if its the same guy ? its a mid paced soul record.
  11. yes I thought it was that side but wasn't 100% sure. I would like a clean copy of this 45 on sonja if anybody has one for sale ? flynny or kris ....... or anobody else ............
  12. what is the other side to this ike and tina turner ?

I was referring mainly to the great but common records that are easily available. they get ignored. May be that everybody has them ? or not enough new collectors to buy up the stock still available. Its a whole mix of reasons. and also its a generalisation probably not true in every case just most.

that was my route into northrn when the house scene became stagnenet and was going nowhere fast. but I didn't do northern pre house my teenage years were spent listening to indie bands like wedding present, pixies etc etc house wise the DIY nights were great for me and they were spot on with the deep house and the atmosphere was tip top.
  18. as long as you stick a cheeky low bid on an auction its easy to find out who won if you know there ebay username.
  19. the hard to find vincent one.
  20. I have added a couple of russian manual wind watches pics to follow. poljot ruslan and a moscow classic which was listed as a diver but I wouldn't risk it even in the shower...... but for the money i'm pleased with both and will keep an eye out for other russian watches.

and if there aren't many youngsters getting into northern then spare a thought for young soul fans who love deep soul....... now that is a very rare commodity. for me the best northern DJs have always been those who also collect deep.

you don't have to accept paypal you canj take a cheque but it would limit your potential number of buyers. even at 10% ebay + 4% paypal its still pretty good for basically being able to sell from the comfort of your home with very little effort.

in what respect, obtainging the records and knowledge or being invited to DJ ?
  24. the unreleased fred knight on the second CD in the series was one of the standouts for me. the ralph soul jackson on SOB is also amazing. in fact there is quite a long list of great records
  25. this is a brilliant deep soul 45 and I remember it took me ages to get my copy now its going through ebay with not even a bid. Shame realy when terrible records sell for 3 figure prices. this is worth way more IMO if quality had any reflection on price. https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370526280221&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
