  1. I know how to turn em on Davie, anything after that is a battle. If I turned up and they were that way round I'd have my arse to the 'crowd' lol I reckon the sound guy has tried to tuck him up: "kin show-off. Turn em round Charlie, see how he likes them apples!"
  2. What a waste, he's got em wrong way round the lad!
  3. Philt replied to a post in a topic in Record Sales

  4. Does it follow too that someone thinks they're avin his trousers down for 300 quid? Made for each orher lol Jesus. You'd find out first though wouldnt you? (None of which legitimises misleading people) Unrelated but a guy from the US did me out of £500 fairly recently. Bet he was p*ssing himself, the lickle tinker. What he doesn't know is that I now have his address and, as it transpires, my cousin lives in the same town ... which is nice. He'll be getting a very loud knock quite soon, bless him. Hope he's enjoyed his moment in the sun anyway, the rascal. Whadya do in the absence of any 'official' recourse? All wrong
  5. cheers Pete, wasn't sure mate. That's all a bit dodge then ain't it

Few more expensive bits as you might expect but truckloads of quality too for not much dough. Also check out Motown/ Tamla / Soul / VIP, Gordy; you could cobble a tidy box together outta that little lot without any trouble whatsoever. Go with your gut pal Morecspecifically, I'd also look out for things like Fred hughes - don't let me down / I keep tryin Carl Carleton - competition Spyder Turner - you're good enough Major Lance - since I lost my baby's love / story of my life Jackie Wilson - lost you / blue skies Atb Phil

  13. Don't laugh mate, we have one at Grumpy. Seriously. (I'm the only one to have copped it so far lol) I really don't like 30 min sets personally, too disjointed - while others would argue it keeps things fresh no doubt. I also think longer sets for quality guests is spot on
  14. Now then T, hope you're well mate. EE x100 rarer than Imp Cs. Wish I still had em
  15. Jackie n MS, slippers n Martens. You need both
  16. Stan was working at a local printers, used to see him regularly and know he's still in touch with one or two from back then. Said he was off to Spain when last I saw him. Gis was at the last Grumpy Soul and we're still working on Mr Kellet, hopefully (I think lol) we'll get him there eventually. Tony has a brilliant story about Gaz fishing after a nighter and telling his 'colleague', who was new to it, that it was de rigueur to shout "cast" when you did. Absolutely pmsl but I'll leave it for T to tell I think he may also have reversed over Johnny Pearson at some stage ... ...
  17. Have managed to move work forward so will be coming to funeral Phil
  18. I certainly want to be there but, hard as I've tried, have a work commitment I can't get out of. Feel bloody awful but nothing else I can do I'll be there in spirit at least x
  19. Two goodies up for grabs as need funds for other stuff. Really tightly graded, money back etc. Joseph Moore - still can't get you (Mar-v-Lus) strong vg+ £850 Probably better in reality but I'd rather under-grade than over. Label a tad grubby and a few scuffs n marks but certainly not rough by any stretch. Might be a while before you see another Demures - raining teardrops (Brunswick issue) £450 vg++ Never had another issue, infintely rarer than the yellow demo. Slightest label wear, vinyl really nice condition No trades thanks atb Phil
  20. Gutted See you somewhere, sometime again mate X
  21. Good choice Paul lol My seven year old likes it: "Is that where you go Dad?" Au contraire: this one features some kids prancing about reasonably rhythmically then an old geezer dancing like me dad hoves into view. Its the other way round as a rule. I've heard worse pop records btw.
  22. CR Jr came from John Anderson I think I recall Shaun telling me. Mostly 'oldies' sixties wise for sure but can recall Marsha Gee, pyramid and a handful of other bits which weren't at the time. Really enjoyed the more modern side of Morecambe when I went but for me Stafford was a complete game changer musically.
  23. Everything possible crossed for you mate x
  24. Got to pay for other things so these three up for grabs. Willie Kendrick - change your ways (RCA w/d) immaculate!!!! £300 You won't see a cleaner copy and both sides awesome of course Luther Ingram - all the same / exus trek (HIB green vinyl) vg++ £300 Some label fade (looks like feint water mark actually) vinyl is as clean as I've seen; just a couple of very, light marks Lorraine Chandler - can't hold on (RCA w/d) £120 ON HOLD More pounding Pied Piper magic! WBBZ stamped and date written on label in red biro. Looks like a small sticker has been removed at some point too but nothing too orrible at all. VG+ is way too conservative really but I'll err on the safe side. You won't be disappointed at all at that! cheers Phil
