72 the year i left home ( thrown out after a little escapade relating to the Torch ) i was working has a machine setter for Turner & Newall regular visiter to Blackpools Highland Room & Tunstalls Torch ..Pay if i remember was around £12 but money in 72 went a long way .. I use to go out Friday nite and most times not get back until Sun dinner or Sun nite we always went to Leigh Casino Sun nite no matter what i had eyes like a grey Alien big big pupils after a weekend of SKF & RIKER he he but i never ever missed work on Monday mornin i worked with a great guy called Derek Fairhurst who took me under his wing from day #1 when i first started work in 69 every Mon morning he told me to get my head down in this massive mould we used for making flat belting for the mining indusrty he use to cover me up in loads of old fabric lying around and leave me there until dinner at 1-30pm what a guy !!! Every Sat we use to go to Manchester to the record shops Ralphs nr Victoria Station Hyme & Addison John Dalton St and the brill Global Records on Princess St plenty 45,s to go at !!!! Yip 72 was a great year brilliant memories of the Torch and the fabulous live acts that appeared my fav venue along with the Highland Room ! Regards Ian Cunliffe

I spent ages on the phone earlier with Post Office / Royal Mail what a asshole i spoke with, total lack of respect for someone who uses their service he said £8 -75p was,nt expensive to send a small package among other things he blurted out... I posted off a 45 to Isreal on 08/09/09 he still has not recieved it ive just checked with the trackin number and all it says it has been passed to the overseas postal service for delivery in Isreal sayin it cost £8--75 postage its pretty poor..

Hi Ady ive been playing Changes Lily Fields for 3 yrs in the odd DJ spot i do, it as always gone down really well.. I got it originally around 7 yrs ago off Rob Thomas on a cd he put together for me it was mostly unissued stuff Rob made it clear under no curcumstances was i to cut any of the unissued tracks but i fell in love with the Lily Fields pied pier production it has everything so eventually i asked Rob was it ok to take a cut to play out thus promoting the track i was amazed when he shrugged his shoulders and said ya , did,nt know you had the rights to such a teriffic track hope ive helped in making Changes a track soulies want to hear & buy hopefully Its awesome are there anymore uptempo pied piper productions knockin around yer record room like that XXX Ian Cunliffe

======================================================================= I have always done charity do,s for nothing in fact many times they have cost me quite a bit of dosh to do but as long as it goes to a worthy cause ie like the Torch Reunion Ryan Hall do i aint bothered.. Myself & Carl Farrington did a do few years ago we printed the flyers arranged the dj,s--equipment and venue packed the place solid in Leigh made plenty dosh and it all got handed over... Money aint everything !!!
