  1. Are we including album only tracks Tony ?
  2. Could be my mistake Carl, I got a repro a while ago and just assumed Numero had put it out Kev
  3. Numero reissued it Matt if that's of any interest and obviously is available at good soul outlets, otherwise could be quite hard to source 1st issue Kev
  4. Ditto, beat me to the punch Eddie Kev
  5. Probably the most imitated group ever, no disrespect cos I love them but it was easier to try and sound like them rather than say the Temptations who consisted of four members out of five who could take lead sounding all completely unique, however, back to the Impressions, my fave, and there,s loads to choose from is "I,m still waiting" IMHO, absolutely awesome Kev
  6. Absolutely, but do yourself a favour and give "Once you had a heart" under Paul Williams a whirl on the tube, one of the truly awesome songs the man sang, thing is, he died tragically, and watching and listening to him gave the impression he was a tortured soul, every word he sang IMHO was a reflection of what was going on in his life Kev
  7. He sure did Jakob, great story, what a character, answered all the questions on how the collecting in California evolved early days to how it is now, fantastic stuff, Jay and Al got something really unique going down with this show, Victor Vasquez in town from San Jose for the next show, he has some great stuff, they,ll have a blast in that studio, that's for sure Kev
  8. Fantastic read and listen John, will be indulging myself with one of these mate, the Bobby Moore in particular sounded fantastic Kev
  9. Latest instalment from Saturday night was another belter, some fantastic Sweet Soul played by the guys with Anthony Santana and Sigs guesting in the studio, don't know how to copy the link but Jakob (soulfulsevens) has posted it in the Lowrider thread so you can listen to the show and the 2 previous shows, really is a refreshing thing the Jay and Al are doing here, inviting collectors in to play their tunes and tell their stories, very interesting and music to die for Kev
  10. Your record room would give anybodies a good run for their money Lisa Kev

Gentle bump for this trio Kev
  12. Likewise here Dave, bought for buttons but relented to a good offer, suppose that's one of the downsides to this mad mad world of collecting soul vinyl Kev
  13. Just about to have my monthly soak in the bath (taken if needed or not) will be giving it a listen then Best Kev
  14. Hi Chris Jock Oconnor and Adey Harley were playing it at Shotts mid to late 80,s,you are right, gained a cult following then and now it seems demand is very high, IMHO though "Goddess of love" is the best thing they did, the postage would cost more than the record Kev
  15. Mike and Censations-Don't mess with me-Highland, not associated but sounding similar Kev

  18. Essential listening for the real soul fan, link posted in Low Rider thread by Soulfulsevens Kev
  19. Thanks for that Roburt, and here's me thinking they were the same group Kev
  20. Precisions (different from Drew) also recorded a Sweet soul gem on Hen Mar, "Take a good look", very very rare, so there could have been 3 groups calling themselves The Precisions Professionals "That's why I love you" Groove City, different group from Professionals "My heart belongs to you" Action Pac who were also known as Hollywood Saxons Kev

R.I.P. Maurice, yes indeed, E.W.F. were the soundtrack to our formative years. Their music was always in the background such was the quantity and quality of their work Kev
