  1. You might have been thinking of something like this which looks like a demo but is the regular issue -
  2. Another strange item I just noticed on Soulfulkindamusic is Wand #1141- Honey Bees- "Never In A Million Years"/ "Let's Get Back Together". Anyone ever seen one??
  3. On Soulhawk's "You Stood Me Up" on you tube, someone listed the rest of the group as Russell Jarvis, Joe Johnson and Donald Lowe. Can anyone verify this ?
  4. According to "Soul Harmony SIngles 1960-1990", Jan Jones and John Finch were in the Specials.
  5. I've never heard of the Fipa label- did you mean Fip ?
  6. Sometimes Record companies don't use logic though. 😃
  7. I would think the copy I posted would have been the 1st pressing since there is no release # on the labels and a different publisher for "You Stood Me Up".
  8. Not sure about the variations but I have an early release (??) of #512 that has handwritten publisher and release#'s and a different publisher (Merrill ) for "You Stood Me Up" -
  9. There are THREE Specials releases on Satch.
  10. I would have to agree completely. His Brunswick work pre "Whispers" doesn't do much for me at all. One of his strangest albums was "You Ain't Heard Nothing Yet" the track listing says it all -
  11. I just played both versions of "When I'm Gone" back to back and I didn't notice any difference either. So whatever the difference is. it has to be very subtle.
  12. Here's the Chicago Johnny Moore -
  13. Great, well researched article ! "Don"t Hit On Me" did well for Sam and Kitty in Baltimore, going up to #24 on this survey -
  14. Really sorry to hear about this ! ! R.I.P. Johnny !
  15. I think I can answer my own question- there is none! A few years back, I was involved in a CD swap on another web site and one of the tracks I got was labelled "True Fine Boy" - Saundra Edwards. I just listened to it, its the same instrumental as on CFOM #5.
  16. Got my CD. My question is did "True Fine Boy" by Saundra Edwards ever get released on CD?
  17. It's not the same Bruce Scott- this singer is from New York City.
  18. Discogs is calling "Sad Girl"/ "Taking My Mind Off Love" a reissue and has sales going from $32.47- $77.92 (USD).
  19. For anyone in the U.S., it looks like CFOM Vol.5 will be available on October 1st.
  20. Yes but ....... If you look at the 1st version I posted, the info is WIL 190303 and it's the 2:51 version, the 2nd copy is WIL-193302 - the 2:46 version. Chalky's copy shows 190203 and is also the 2:51 version which is why I suggested a typo. The Complete Motown Singles- Vol. 6 - 1966 only shows 2 versions released.
  21. I've got to admit that looks like WIL-190203. But on this cleaner variation that looks like it came from the same pressing plant, the number looks like WIL-190302. So I don't know if your label has a typo or if that number is a 3 instead of a 2.
  22. Marvin's "Take This Heart Of Mine" also came out with 2 different versions-
