Northern Soul At The Corner House

We're so pleased to have as our guests this time around The Staff Soul Spinners.

They are:

Rob Scott

Johnny Jones

Mark "Ecka" Hill

Graham Cooper    and

Crunch.

These guys have been involved in their regular event...."Something Different" at the Staff Social Club in Shirebrook for over two years.

Not only are they superb DJs but they are really great lads as well and we look forward to them keeping our dance floor busy with their extensive record collections.

Its going to be a brilliant afternoon.....so we hope you will come and join us at the Corner House.

Staff soul spinners are a great bunch of lads from my own town who I've known since the pit days they will play some amazing tunes so get yourself here for a top afternoon of soul music 📀📀📀🍺🍺🍺👍

I'd just like to let everyone know that this will be my last contribution to Northern Soul at the Corner House as it's promoter.
A change of shift pattern at work means that I will be working at weekends for 6 out of every 8 weeks, making it difficult to commit the time needed to be involved in running the event.
However, my good mate and partner in crime, Steve Studge, will continue to promote the gig.....ably assisted by Paul/Jazz and Steve H.
I would like to thank all of the DJs who have supported us over the last year...they have all been truly brilliant.
My thanks also to the management and staff at the Corner House for their contribution....my best wishes to the new owners, for whom May 28th will be their first taste of our scene
My heartfelt thanks and respect to the people who have come along to our Alldayers...creating a truly wonderful atmosphere.
As for me....I'll still pop up as a guest DJ on odd occasions, here and at other venues. 
It's been a blast and long may it continue.
See you all on May 28th. Dim.

Well put my good friend without you there would be no corner house it's been a blast being on board from the start it won't be the same but we will try our best as you no we will have a few beers on this day and have a belter 

Not long now until the 28th. The weather is forecast to be terrific, the music will be brilliant and the atmosphere will be electric.
We will have extra door staff, a "no drinks" on the dance floor policy will be adhered to and those who are not there for the right reasons will be denied entry.
We're looking forward to a fantastic day.

Wow!!!! What a an absolutely belting day!!! Nothing and I mean NOTHING could have beaten that yesterday. Absolutely packed out, in fact, I doubt everyone would have got inside had the weather not been so good. Lots of the old Soulies turned up and it was just superb. 

Dim certainly went out with a bang, so to speak. Well done mate! Here's hoping Studge can keep the momentum going with the future gigs there.

Yes it was a stormer pal we will miss dim for sure but me Studge & steve h will try our best and when available dim will be guesting 

What an absolutely brilliant day at The Corner House on Sunday. The venue was packed inside and out all day,with a fantastic,friendly crowd who were treated to superb music from all of the DJs. 
As ever our residents, Studge, Steve H and Jazz (Paul) produced terrific sets.....Jazz going above and beyond by answering a last minute call to provide decks and equipment .
Our guest DJs, the Staff Soul Spinners were electric. Rob, Johnny, Ecka, Crunch.......you were more than excellent!
A massive thanks also to new owners Craig & Stevie and to their staff for the great service. Of course we have to thank doormen Pete (Shakira) and Trevor for keeping us all in order.
A day to remember indeed!

A cracking day, some great stuff played over the course of the afternoon/evening. Thanks for having us on. A bit worse for wear at work today, but it was well worth it, all the best. JJ.

The "Something Different" Soul Club all had a  very enjoyable afternoon down at the corner house,massive thanks to Damian for inviting the Staff Soulspinners down as guests all DJs putting in impressive sets, so yeah a cracking afternoon had by all... all the best for the future Damian,and you know your always welcome up the Staff
