The Gas Club Crookes Sheffield

Hi all sorry for the late review, being moving the equipment yesterday to our new venue.

Well what a night to remember, plenty in to share our last night we did miss seeing our smokin guns who have always supported us but they will be back at the new venue. A big thanks for those who travel some way to get here and also our support from the regulars.

A big thanks to a great team of residents who keep on adding to their collection and giving what the dancers want..

Treetops, Lorraine, Patto and Chris was on top form and help to create the sounds that we are use to hearing at the Gas club. New venue same team except more of the same. Not to forget Anita on the door many thanks.

We have had some of the best guest djs around and well done to Chris in getting them to come, same again at the Walkley.

John Parker played some outstanding tracks especially the Salvadors which has never been played at our venue, great stuff looking forward to having him back one day.

Our new place has a sprung wooden dance floor larger than the old malin bridge had and a late cheap bar you will be presently be surprise at our new refurbished venue, so I look forward in welcoming back to THE GAS CLUB SATURDAY 31st MARCH.

What a totally fantastic night of Real Deal Northern Soul last night.One of the best yet enjoyed every minute of it

The Gas CLUB Soul Crews time at The CROOKES CLUB has unfortunately come to an end due to circumstances out of their control.However the club lives on to create a new era in a fantastic new venue at THE WALKLEY CLUB SHEFFIELD S6 5BH.

Its been a great privilege to be a resident DJ for Chris and Dave over the past year thanks guys for keeping me in The fold.The CROOKES CLUB is a big old space to fill but the majority of the nights were fantastic generating a great old Skool Northern atmosphere with brill crowds and top dancers.

Chris managed to secure a perfect line up of guests including Martin Stanford,Rob Smith,John Poole,Cathy C,Dick Krop,Tom Wheelhouse,Pep,and John Parker.

Dave's sound system is as good as I've seen anywhere and is a credit to him and the work he has put into getting it together.

Some of the best Soul people on the scene have visited us over the last year.Personally I'd like to thank the great Dancers from the SMOKIN GUNS and SHEFFIELD NUTTERZ crews for keeping the floor bouncing.Great friends and supporters of the club who travel good distances Tina and Phil,Troy and Cathy,Debs and Dave.Also Yorkshires finest soulmen Derek Greenhoff,and Tom Wheelhouse.Sorry to have missed anyone out but all of you who came helped me and the main guys immensely and we are grateful.

So onto the new venue at Walkley with great expectations .Same formula as always, Bring it on first night Sat 31st March
