It's just a great pity we can't get all three of them down there together! Chris, Ivor & Rob. All of them have been massive Northern Fans over the years. Once a Soulie, always a Soulie as they say.

The photos I posted show quite a lot of the old Swan brigade. It would be nice to get them all back together for one big bash. All of us that used to head off up to Wigan and other great Nighters & All-dayers, including all those that have since left the scene, such as Platt, Pags, Big Ivor, Chris, Bogie, etc etc etc.

I hope, if they read these pages, they'll see just how popular this gig is and even though it seems hard to believe, it gets better & better each time.

Can't wait for the next one!!!

Yes Jazz, some will come to one event, miss the next one, when some others have turned up, then some others come & so on, if you grab my drift? It'd be great if we could get them all there for one session......

I think he was talking about Big Ivor......:D

No matter who he meant, he "Should Have Gone To Specsavers".... lol

Not long now. For my spot, I'm going back in time. All the way back! About half a dozen to start with from the Wheel era, then the Torch, Mecca and the Casino. Hopefully, what I play will please most, because that's the top & bottom of it all and that's what we're there for. There'll be some absolute classics, though not all 100mph sounds, that I normally like to play. Thinking back, the Wheel was predominantly more about the Mod scene, rather than pure Northern Soul, but there was still some absolutely belting sounds from that time. The first record will be an all time favourite instrumental, that I vividly remember listening to in a Cafe that was next to, or next door but one, to Ye Olde Ramme Inn, opposite the Corner House, on Church St. That record was played over & over & over again on the Juke Box back around 1967, 68 or 69. It must have sent the Cafe owner barmy...lol. I won't say what it is, but I'm sure some will guess.

See ya'll there a week on Sunday.

I've spent ages compiling my play list. Putting some in, taking some out, then others in and more out... Decisions, decisions, decisions...lol

There'll be about 8 or 9 from the Wheel era, then about 8, 9 or 10 from the Torch, followed by about 12 from the Casino. Then however many more good sounds I can fit in. It's a bit annoying and frustrating, because there are loads of records I'd just love to spin, but there's only so many I can get in. I just hope they go down well and everyone has a great time. It MUST be one of the best Dayer's in the UK!!! Great crowd, good music, cheap beer and superb bar staff. Bring it on!!!

Get down there folks, you won't regret a single minute!

ps I'll be starting each era's section with probably the best instrumental from that time period.

Deryke.....we can't wait to hear the sounds you will play. Looking forward to your musical travel through the eras.

We are also looking forward to hearing Dean's set....quality guaranteed......and to Dave's hour, his passion always shines through.

I reckon Jazz &Steve will have a belting last hour too.

As for me and Studge......well we will do our best to match our fellow DJs during the course of the day.
