as im sure most collectors on here know jimmy mack my world is on fire usually fetchs in the region of £1000, this week alone ive seen 4 copys for sale on various websites. and allways seems to be one on e bay about once a month,which made me wonder how scarce is it

Both sides cherished classics as far as I am concerned. Go on is still to have it's day, although as others have said it has been played on and off since God was a lad.

The name Jimmy Mack is probably just an abbreviation for people with the name Mc or Mac. Hence rumour that he was the actor James McEachin which I read once in an Ian Levine column I think.

"Go On" is a stunning soul record, i have tried to play it out for a few years now but is still clears the floor faster then the A side does sadly, it will have it,s day rest assured

which copy is rarer , issue or demo ?? by the way ??

Not keen on the B side sounds samy. Re. the A side not having "soul" i coudnt disagree more . The vocal is beautiful and it almost sounds like hes going to burst into tears. Still love this.
