Looking for some information about this track if anyone can help?

What is the current (realistic) value of an original pressing and is there a surefire way of telling the original from the bootleg copy?

Your copy looks like an original Steve, the bootleg is darker green than that.

Very certain thats an original-love this record -I bought the bootleg when it was first done-I have both .

The boot has a gloss finish to the label, found my orig in the US many years later and its more of a matt finish to it and is lighter green like the one you enclosed

Pricewise - I sold an original copy on here about a year ago for £200

Gonna have to disagree on the authenticy here...this looks like a bootleg to me, you can see a sheen from the gloss label, and the print is not as pronounced as on the original label.

Back to the question though....value-wise 200+ easily, especially now it's picking up 2nd time round plays...

I agree with Cliff. The photo being slightly over-exposed makes the label look lighter but you can still tell it's got a gloss seal as opposed to being unsealed, matt paper as per the original.

Never in a million years is this worth £200. Should be £100 - £125. I've sold half a dozen at that price in the last 5 years. It's not a rare record.

Totally agree...I´ve seen some copys this year at 250$ in a USA dealers...

See this is the problem - one copy sells for a daft amount then everyone else follows suit - a good example is Helen Shapiro "Stop", it's worth £125/£150 yet because JM got over £200 for it, everyone else now lists it at £200.

Exus Trek, the version I had on my list yesterday books at £500, I listed it for half that and didn't sell it...

I would have said the records 2nd time is already history. Anway, it used to sell up to 300 UKP in recent times (lists and interent).

Cant tell as I don´t know them buyers and sellers in person...still, it wasn`t cheapie since the eighties and once demand had risen the price of course had to follow. Its not the first and won`t be the last time were demand dictates a rise in price.

Sorry Marc but it's been cheap - relatively cheap - until about 18 months ago. In the late 90's early 00's I was buying it in at 40 to 60 quid and selling it for 75 to 85

Fraid not, apparently it's worth £500 now, just went up £300 overnight!

I need an original issue of this record (5444A in the runout groove, NOT 5544A).

If anyone has got a copy for sale, please PM me with price and condition.

That settles it then, mine is glossy and it has '5544A' on the run out, but like I say it was cheap so not bothered and it is an excellent track.
