didnt cost me £250 steve but yes he was worth it....

i know some have a beef with russ but hes never done anything to me,, always talks to me and i like him and he is a good dj,,,and popular

didnt know i needed to post a cv to ask a question on this site but here is some info on myself ,if you need any other info ,please dont hesitate to ask: my name is zander murray i have been into northern soul since the 70s ,i run the edinburgh soul weekender & co run the gilmerton soul club..i have also run the edinburgh scooter club since 1981, i have attended alnighters north & south of the border over the years. ie wigan,

rotherham,stafford,warrington,edinburgh,aberdeen,dundee,shotts,dumfermline,fouldhouse,bonnyrigg,thornton.

hopeing this is satisfactory

Eh! each to his own mate. we have OVO at our venue, just a way of life for me us guess and a sound quality issue on a lot os Withstandlys boots! Hard to find an original in Russ's box:no: Hope he used his fee to buy records!

Totally agree Steve. He is of course, an icon of the soul scene and, dare i say it, of soul itself....and worth every penny of a bookers fee, be it £100 or £1000. What Mr Winstanley doesnt know about soul, isn't worth knowing...AND he still manages to break so many new tunes aswell. A real force of nature! One of the few who has remained true to his 'roots'....(ginger i think.)

I thought this thread was simply to ask for contact details for Russ, NOT TO HAVE THE OPPURTUNITY TO SLAG THE MAN OFF. What he does in his personal life has bugger all to do with anyone else. What HE did for the Casino in the 70's and that goes without saying, you were all glad to be a part of. Gives me the shits when i see this sort of thing. Let the man be for gawds sake !!
