The beat ballad on Michelle "The Next Time She's Mine" often goes for money but surely apart from "I Wanna Be Free" and "Pneumonia" most of Joe Tex 45s are fairly cheap.

Its flipside, "I've Got A Song", is getting some spins. Perhaps that's the one?

Amazing that they let the intro on that one pass! Very disjointed.

His most expensive, best and most played record in r&b rooms is by far Pneumonia which came out on King (and recently on another label i don't remeber, but this one's an alternative version).

I've definitely seen someone on this board trying to sell "Old Time Lover" on Dial for three figures. Is it worth that?

Now I'm very confused. It's an early Dial not Pneumonia and someone told me it was fetching a ton so it must be getting a lot of plays but not down here! Perhaps it's one of those benji, Gareth or Seb mentioned but I'd like to narrow it down if poss.

Ta for the help

Yeah Old Time Lover rings a bell; I'll assume it's that. thanks. Incidentally who's spinning it and where?

No idea, but here it is on a sale thread for less than I remembered:

That's his best for me, perfect crossover (well, my type of crossover), books at a ton fifty, but should be picked up quite easy for half that thumbsup.gif seen a few go thru ebay of late!

I know its out of fashion, but I think "You Better Belieive It, Baby" is his best Northern Soul record.

Its fairly cheap, but great, and was once THE Joe Tex biggie!

Definitely "Old time lover" I would say Ady though the Michelle label one is around a ton too.
