What does "Pinned" mean on the subject heading of this thread?

The term 'Pinned' is to be stuck or literally fixed in a certain position.

It can only be done by the moderators. In the case of this topic, I presume it will be pinned until the next label of the week starts up, then this will be unpinned.

Here we go Part 1.All are differing styles r&b,mod,brit soul etc. The Exotics is particularly good as is the Emma Rede. Thanks Pete just flushed a spare demo of Emma Rede and The Persuasions I'll Go Crazy.I have left out the out and out beat/Freakbeat as I don't think it has a place here.How do you lot organise your records?.I'm looking for some decent large drawers.I live in a Victorian house and want to get them all stashed away in label order.By the way I have a youtube channel wiggyflat with loads of latin/beat/northern uploaded.Loads of unreleased stuff (the Julie Driscoll/Auger acetate was never released...its on the youtube cannel)and things that are not on youtube...here goes.

Amazing, as always. I actually discovered the Emma Rede record, one of my few claims to fame. One day back in the very early 90's, I was lucky enough to get into Vinyl Experience in Brighton and look through around 8000 unplayed demos, all the big stuff had gone, all the rare beat and psych had gone, but I still came out with a couple of hundred nice records (I remember Robert Henry was one, Emma rede, truly Smith, etc) and was able to fill up at least 2 editions of Beatin Rhythm magazines with the fruits of that find.

I only heard it for the first time when Neil played it, having only just returned to the scene after a long spell off.

Must add it to my collection of UK releases. What sort of value does it have?

some lovely stuff in there wiggyflat. with the current interest in basic raw R&B, I can see a little revival of real brit freakbeat rather than the wackier stuff from a couple of years later.
