So what's that about on 'Mr Man's' recent auction about dark blue label for the UK "Soothe me" then?

That's the only one I know about (and have) on blue Stax, was there another one on the lighter blue label also?

Also, don't forget another goodie from them "Everybody's got to believe in somebody" - also done by Dee Dee Warwick.

I have been wondering the same John, I have only seen the Dark Blue copy for "Soothe Me" on UK STAX.

Here's a couple of Label Variations for this one, there is a Black & White DEMO & a Styrene DEMO too apparently.

The way I read it, it was more the fact that it was the studio recording, rather than the US single which used the live version...

I've never seen a light blue copy either. It probably comes form the Findagroove value listings from c. 1976 which listed the label variants. Got a spare but NOC if anyone's inetested?

what is the King 45? I don't think I'ver ever seen that. I have the Alston 45 & a Roulette LP as far as the early S&D stuff goes.

I still love this. So pleased that the studio version was released here in the UK.

The 1st release with the Dark Blue label reminds me of the hours spent in second hand shops searching for records like this.

One of my fave by Double Dynamite: "Don't knock it". If I'm not wrong only came out as a 45 in Spain.
