March 22, 201213 yr 2047 - Mike Pearson - Are You Happy / Need To Belong - Crash This record is a completly different design to Jimmy Dobbins and the Steelers and doesnt mention Chicago. It also has "Sound Of The Future" which I dont think is on the other Crash releases. The reason I think they're linked is that this and Jimmy Dobbins are both Jerhart publishing and produced by Bob Lee. One that Vince sold a while back Edited March 22, 201213 yr by John Reed
March 22, 201213 yr 427 Roy Wright "Heartbreak (Awful Day)/ Somethings Wrong Funny you should mention Roy Wright. The Mike Pearson I mentioned has exactly the same colour lable design as Roy Wrights Mica release Hook Line & Sinker which also has the Al Benson connection Edited March 22, 201213 yr by John Reed
March 22, 201213 yr Was gonna mention Roy Wright. Still got mine thankfully, don't seem to see it much these days.
March 24, 201213 yr Author Thanks for all the replies and comments chaps. Pulled it all together and this is what we've got. The Crash label Mike Pearson Are You Happy / Need To Belong Crash 2047 Magic Sam Out Of Bad Luck / She belongs to me Crash 425 Jimmy Dobbins Little Miss Perfect / What Is Love Crash 426 Roy Wright Heartbreak (Awful Day) / Something's Wrong Crash 427 The Steelers The flame remains / Heaven's gift Crash 428 ? Crash 429 The Steelers Just beginning to love you / Crying bitter tears Crash 430 The Answers Things Gonna Get Better Tomorrow / What Happened Girl Crash 0012 A couple of questions: Anybody got a rough idea when this label was operating? Is it safe to assume Bob Lee owned this label? Was there a release on Crash 429? I thank you, derek
March 24, 201213 yr Author Derek, can you and fellow sources, help on the d'oro label. You mean the Vivian Copeland one? Mmmm never thought of that one for a label listing - good shout. Will look into it. derek
March 24, 201213 yr al benson owned the label, not bob lee. then after it went out of business, al and bob lee sort of reopened crash and mica, which is what led to the weird later numbers.
March 30, 201411 yr Credit to John Manship here's Roy Wright "Heartbreak" Found a copy of this today whilst out digging...the flipside isn't too shabby either. What's the going rate (if there is one!?) for this awesome double-sider/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UeYTIjpVJiA
