Mate of mine asked me what I thought of this, before I saw it I said it didn't exist. What the hell is it?

Well Coral would make sense as it's related to Decca but not ABC.

Alternate mix is around, but unreleased officially.

Or are you confusing this with the Jap "Larue" 45 Dave has - and which IS a slightly different take?

Very Odd an abc paramount discog gives that number

as a brian Hyland release from 1962.

On closer inspection the writers,arranger/producer and

publisherare different from the "like one" on decca.

Further investigation reveals that the brian Hyland single on ABC, is written by

the same writers/arranger as the "like One" scan shown and the same publishing company.

Is it just a wierd mis-print.

What does the record actually play ??

Is it just me or are the arist/title credits out of line? Am I a suspicious old Hector? :-)

I'm more than suspicious. Look at the matrix number on the label, scratched out and penned in. The A and B sides usually have consecutive numbers, this has them miles apart, and for Jean Carter these numbers would definitely have been consecutive. Anyone ever seen that Pogo Productions logo before?

I wonder what it sounds like? Those Decca promos sound crap. I bought a M- copy about 6 years ago and sold it on. Just couldn't bear to listen to it.

Does the record actually play Like One" ??????????????

The scrathed in matrix looks like the one for Jean Carter, even wierder.

Close gentlemen :D

Yes, I have the Larue on Japanese Decca, but tis the version of Joey Heatherton that is different on Japanese Decca...and sadly Jean Carter never made it out over here :shhh:

That 'ABC Jean Carter' just looks like a poorly put together photocopy to me.

Definitely a boot using the "base" data/graphics from the Bryan Hyland. Jean Carter wouldn't have been on ABC in 1963, and Stan Applebaum and Udell didn't write "Like One".

Double DOH! It's been a long time since that day just before New Year when it was on my turntable. Am I finally losing it son? :-)
