Modern Xover Soul _ Jimmy Lewis - Is That Anyway To Treat A Lady-Hotlanta came across this for a tenna n snapped it up (rightly so) IMO what do you reckon?

Been a popular tune in my record room for a long time.

New Concepts - Give me another chance - Phillips

A melancholy album cut from the master Bobby Womack - just suits the rubbish Bank Holiday weather. From his So Many Rivers set "Only Survivor".

Here's mine for today...

Little Milton - Driftin Drifter - Checker

Again not rare, Its just fookin good

An answer tune to Wilson Pickett from me today & one that's had the odd play here & there, the organ inst on the other side has also had a few plays. Not bad a double-sider for a tenner.

Ann Mason-You Can't Love Me(In The Midnight Hour)/Little Mac & The Boss Sound-I'm In The Midnight Hour Atlantic

Charles Mann - Hey Little Girl - Cheapie, picked this one up for $6.00

Ben E King - Family Jewels

it's all over / jackie wilson

this has probably been posted before , heard it on refo soul a while back and had to have it, jackie at his best

Didn't know whether to post Willie Claytons version of this not much between them for me fantastic lyrics and an all round good tune but plummed for General Crook - Tell me what'cha gonna do-Wand

There you go make your own minds up!!!

They're both good Andy. I'll be boring and go with Willie Clayton - boring cos it's the fact that I know more about him which tips it. As you say you couldn't really put a fag paper between em.

Great start to the day.

Peter

One from me this morning - had a few on my mind but plumped for this.

Marc Sadane - One minute from Love

Had a short shelf life early 80's.

NiteTrain - Let Me Baby You Baby on Roulette

Lovely piece of group mid-tempo from me today. For some reason I've seen this listed at all-sorts of prices from a tenner (which is what I paid) up to £200 but quite often at £50,no idea for the fluctuation as I've never heard it played out.......but I would love to.

The Stereos - I Can't Stop These Tears Cadet

Linda Glass - Before Love Beats Me Goin' - Old Arthur Fenn spin from the mid 70s

Wow, some great posts today!

I was gonna go with the other side of the Nite train track I posted yesterday, but am saving that cos I'm gonna post some 100mph belters over the weekend... so today I've gone for the other side of another popular uptempo oldie...

The Paramounts - I won't Share Your Love on Mercury

Bit well know this but well worth an airing.

Jimmy Bo Horne - I just Can't Speak.

Was this a Pat B Clifton Hall spin? Seem to recall it was but might be confusing it.

Peter
