There aren't many who wear the mantle of 'legend' with true distinction. Van McCoy, Curtis Mayfield and Fred Smith come to mind. Now to be joined by Mr Wylie. Motown's loss was our gain and, as usual on these occasions I will celebrate his work and enjoy the musical legacy he left us, which, to my mind, ranks with up there with the his three illustrious peers. A true icon of Detroit soul. A safe journey Mr Wylie... and congratulations Sir, on a job extremely well done.

Possibly going to get murdered here but why are people posting as if this has just happened, unless that is what they believe

Popcorn died in September 2008 although I'm not sure how this thread has been reactivated which may be why posters are giving condolences on the basis that this is a recent event.

Was Very Sad indeed,..but it was yonks back,4/5 yrs ago

i think some how a recent tidy up of the article section has meant that this article or the attached forum post has caught someones eye and then they and then others have took it as fresh news

will temp close and move shortly just to try and lower the "fresh" aspect
