finally got to listen to the sound files, thirty years later and it effects me in several ways.

1. Should I have taken more gear?

2. Should people have stopped giving me free gear?

3.Should I have sent my vocals to 33 1/3?

4. Did I finish 1st?

But seriously though, listening to a live tape ,makes me sad in a way, time has passed by and this short reminder, kindly posted by Pete (bastard) makes me a bit emotional now. Nobody had a bigger ego than me in 75, people told me I was good and I believed it. Today in the grey light of a UK Winter I can look back at the sensational times we had on the scene then, it is unfortunate that unlike Pete if you were not there at the time you will never know how exceptionally brilliant the scene was - so atmospheric.......

So back to cyber sleep until somebody reminds me to look at another post.

PS On another thread about tape recorders at Wigan, with certain records and I remember Lou Pride and the Yum Yums in particular I would break in at some point and utter some comment to thwart the emi disc bootleggers. Keep smiling, cheers Pete

Glad you found this post John, this was my little tribute to you

I was also there that night. Still got the badge and the tape. Can still remember driving there in a mini bus with the Burnley crew.

Fuse is now no longer with us, Dewi is in Australia. Great times with some fantastic people. Only ever saw one fight inside, actually got it on tape!

The place was buzzing. What a night, what a venue!
