Seconded, top notch! I bought this again within the last four years for the princely sum of a £3; cheap and wonderful.

Oh to "Be Young, Be Foolish, & Happy" :P I'm still foolish and happy it's the Young bit that's gone. :P:D

The best Tams record for me is: 'This precious moment' on South Sound :P

Yeah me too Chunk. I've played this out on a few occasions.

Think i mentioned this in the cheapie thread, But has anyone ever bothered to flip over the old fav "Hey Girl Don't Bother Me" ? Great little R&B ish little tune !!! called "Take Away". Well worth taking away !!

Sounds better if you play it at -2 pitch !!

I'd go with this too - always surprises a few when spun. I'm surprised its not a bigger record than it is !!

Ive got an ABC Tams /What do you do ,on its way to me? JM wrote a little qoute ..Probably there finest and least known northern dancer! Totaly infectious ?? So cant wait to spin it,Cant wait.Anyone know it am i in for a treat?

"It's Alright, You're Just In Love" is another nice little tune

Loll

Johnnie Fingers had an acetate called "Wire Help" which is great uptempo northern, wondered if it got a release, turned out it had. Managed to pick up a copy on demo, but seems to be pretty scarce. Don't think it's in the price guides, Manny hadn't heard of it when I mentioned it to him.

Hi The flip to a re-issue of "Be young" if I remember .Great tune

[Listed in TB's guide @ £30,don't know if thats realistic. I always look for spares and believe me they ain't easy to find/quote]

Also agreed. Mine is yellow one and didn't know that red one untill now. Btw is the LP version different from 45?

"My Baby Loves Me" on General American is another of their early releases worth finding, if you're keen on mid-tempo soul. It's the flip side of their 1964 release "Find Another Love"

I'd reccommend the Tams "gay" anthem " deep inside me" Arlen , nice cheapie....

[What Do You Do (When Your Lover Leaves You) is a ballad - a great one though and one of my favourite tracks by the group along with You Lied To Your Daddy
