May 20, 200619 yr Question of the day..... Was all 80's synthesised cack? Or were there some good records as well..... good philosophical question....I was listening to LJ Johnson's (Levine) track last night-the thing that makes that track, for me, is Johnson's voice-the backing is just that, the backing...Byron Stingily, IMHO, has a brilliant voice-the backing is contemporary.. ....perhaps we should be asking IF they have enough 'SOUL'????? ......Angie Stone-Wish I did'nt Miss You.........?????

May 25, 200619 yr I have always liked Atlantic Starr - Always even if it is soul. There was also Bobby Brown but he become R & B rather then just Soul. Bad thing was when you got Motorcity back together. the new versions not a patch on originals.
