Dunno, says original, But I'd say that's a styrene  monarch 2nd issue, or boot, which ever..

what do people think?

I'm not sure.  However, I've dealt with the seller and can say that they are first class, very conservative gradings ( vg was more like mint - ). Additionally they are happy to help the buyer out by showing a nominal value for customs declarations rather than the stupid prices that we are prepared to pay.

Ive no doubt, maybe its the scan, perhaps because the scan is 'Thin' the colour and feel resemble styrene..  I'm not in the market for Northern, But its one original that you gotta have...

It's definitely not the 1976 styrene pressing, different colour blue and silver.

Does it mean it's a boot if it's got the Pb markings?

If it`s Styrene with a stick on label and has a delta # starting 100,it`s a boot..

Dave f.....

some of these have infamous Pb in the runout grooves

Some of them HAD......

Once rumbled, some had scratches in the run out, drill holes & stickers / sticker marks, especially the pb boot of the Salvadors

some of these have infamous Pb in the runout grooves

Does anybody know who Pb was? Was he the bootlegger or just someone associated with the production of the lacquers etc at the pressing plant?

the original I have has a 1 stamped in the runout groove..................

Is there a list of 'PB' pressings?

George Blackwell

Salvadors

Johnny Vanelli

Several of these had two presses (some had three), for instance, Salvadors, Anderson Bros and George Blackwell came as really good PB counterfeits, followed a couple of months later by styrene copies which wouldn't fool anyone but still had PB in the run out.  I'll try and remember some more titles but it was around the time of Mel Britt, Joe Hicks etc

Was it a nod to Patti Brooks ?

some of the americans may not be aware of the P.B boots........they are almost like fakes in the art world.........but they are boots no matter how good they look  including the GTO'S.......which as you all know should have  a bell sound stamped matrix  ta da!!

p.s  there was conjecture some time ago that  these P.B boots suddenly stopped and that the person responsably may have died......this being the reason for the halt in these boots
