Its stunning. I've got a fabulous british soul collection and shouldn't really complain but I now wish I'd collected all those reggie ones when they were cheAp and plentiful. I made a conscious decision to stop collecting reggae in the mid 70s and concentrate on soul. Some of those labels on that page look wonderful now.  :hatsoff2:

I also find it fascinating that people in Britain in the 60s were putting out such obscure stuff.

Yeah it always amazes me that UK labels were, in the main, so dull - Stateside, RCA, Decca, Brunswick - awful plain labels.  One or two, like Strike, at least had a go, but compared to US labels of the time, and especially Reggae labels of the late 60's, it's very hard to get excited about UK label design.  Plus we were probably the only country that didn't issue the majority of records in picture sleeves.

That is a treat to look at. I was really surprised that there only about 10-12 I do not have, although to be honest Pete, with so many I have it was the label I bought back out of curiosity and maybe the tune was not all that! Still nice to have though. Got to agree about how dynamic the colouring was of those labels compared to UK but I still absolutely love the black/silver Ska Beat, always get a little smile on my face when I find one. (Must try and get a gold FAB one day, only have blue as far as I remember). Nice!
