Any one got any info on the singer?

i'm looking at the inlay card for The Voice from the Shadows CD.

Born Selma, Alabama August 1943. Went to College, worked as a teacher before going into music. Married Chuck Cooper and worked as a duo. First recorded at Muscle Shoals in 1968. Had 4 sessions in total in MS with various producers with the final one being in 1977 but seemingly no commercial success. Quit music in 1982 but returned a decade or so later to play some local gigs.

The CD is a very good collection with some first class material on it. Just another talented artist who never got the breaks, nor the success she deserved. A familiar tale for many Soul singers from the 60s and 70s.

The CD is great. Came out about 7/8 years ago now if my memory serves me well. Must dig it out and play again...

There's also at least two 45s on ABet by her and husband Chuck, under the names of Chuck and Marianne.

One song being a version of "Let's walk the streets together" which is on the CD.

Played by me first time out at the wonderful Soul Essence!

I won't take up your time telling you all how great they both are - those who already have them will know that already, and those who don't have them need to find out for themselves ....
