I know time and chemical erasure have blurred the memory somewhat, but does anyone else remember Thelma Houston's version being played at old Wigwam??

Whenever I mention it ,nobody remembers.

Presumably it was an lp only track, but what lp and how hard is it .

First broke by Ian Levine at the Mecca. A very in demand track these days and hard to find.

Although the Jnr Walker was the Northern hit, Thelma's is THE ONE THESE DAYS.

Yes Mark, the other track on the Thelma Houston UK version of the LP is "Nothing Left To Give". Top drawer crossover dancer, which knocks everything else on the LP into shade.

In my memory both Jr. Walker AND Thelma were played at Wigan. Must have been '74.

Definately 74 and both off the album as Jr Walker had not yet been released on 7" Played off the album Peace & Understanding.

Thelma got the first plays though.
