Hello. I hope this is allowed on here. My mum lost her battle with covid on Saturday. Northern soul was her life and she spent many years telling me about her passion for the music and her experience of Wigan casino. Her funeral will be very much influenced by her love for the music and the music choices are the “3 before 8”.

I wondered if anyone had any photographs of her from any soul nights? Especially from her days at Wigan. It would mean the world to us as a family to be able to have a copy.

Also if any of her friends on here want to pay their respects I can share the link for the funeral.

Didn’t know your Mum, but certainly the right place to post to see if someone does, fingers crossed.

Heartfelt condolences to you and all your family for your sad loss. Just had my partners brothers funeral , who also lost his life in hospital to this deadly virus. 

Feel you all of you, and I’m sure there won’t be a dry eye when Tobi gets played.

So sorry to hear about your mum. I remember Jenny from years ago, hadn’t  seen her for some years though. Sorry I don’t have any photos either.

Very sad for your whole Family losing your Mum, I don't remember Her and photos from way back then are thin on the ground, I found myself on 2 photos posted on YouTube, Garry Keen has a lot of good photos on his channel and so do many others, it's a bit of a trawl going through these posts but you may get lucky. All the best to you.

Might be different for a mobile phone though.

Yes she was on the scene when I first started around 78 iish Tupton , Wingfield,  Brim Tavern to name a few .

You may already have checked this, but there are hundreds of live clips going back at least 5 years of lots of Soul nites on a youtube channel called Juds Northern Soul.

If you know which venues she was still attending you can search in his channel by the event name or location and maybe find her dancing on them.
