Just happened by accident, to come across the above artist on Sky Arts last night....he was playing live.....admittedly, never heard of the guy....but after a few minutes, i was hooked by some of the material he was coming out with! Have done a bit of research on You Tube...but, to cut to the chase, has anybody on here bought any vinyl/cd's by him, that you would strongly recommend? Many thanks in advance!!

Been hooked on Michael Kawanuka since purchasing his Home Again LP in 2012 so much i put one of my favourite tracks on here from the album i think on Soul plays and Favourites thread, the track in question

was Tell me a tale, simply beautiful, play it on youtube love it enjoy it,

and yes i watched the live performance too, what a talent and absolutely wonderful live performance,

a great talent 

He has a great taste in music too. A year or two ago he used to fairly regularly fill in for Guy Garvey on BBC6Music. The show was greatly improved when he did and well worth a listen .

Hopefully Garvey will be off touring again soon  so we can get some more decent music on a Sunday afternoon.
