 Being reported in the msm that Roberta Flack has passed on at the age of 88...

Just seen this in a few places, so looks real.  She won't have appealed to everyone on here, but I rate her highly and she was superb live.

Roberta recorded two great ballads which went mainstream. RIP.

Her duets with donny hathaway,  were things of beauty.   Very sad news.

When people say “what is soul music ? What’s it all about” This sung by RF just about sums it Sung from the heart - 100% Soul - RIP 

Sad. I only played a birthday shout-out for her last week (10th.) 

We are reaching the end of an era... a wonderful musical era.😥

RIP Roberta. Thank you for the lovely music. I'm sat here now and reminding myself of her great songs.
