Two of my favourite 60s Detroit recordings, on one 45 that can be picked up for as little as a tenner. In fact, I think Pete's got one for sale right now...

I picked up a mint demo of the CHANNELS very recently. Think I paid £26. I haven't got round to playing it out yet though.

I played them out fairly recently (both sides) and they went down really well - go for it

most artisitics releases on brunswick,most manhattans tracks on carnival,all them lovely de-lux tracks by bobby wade,the john roberts tracks on duke and bobby bland also,to name a few then you have the bloody brilliance of the impressions both on abc then for awesome value on curtom.Can pick most of these up for 20 or less imho.

Top double header that i have been playing out is Jimmy Bailey If Goodbye Means Gone/Hush Columbia demo two cracking sides with Hush just shading it but its a damn hard record to find but well worth looking out for.

Had a nice 'cheapie' come through the letterbox on Saturday, 'Tutti Hill - He's A Lover' on Arock, nice atmospheric mid/slow tempo with a fantastic sax break in the middle, as you will probably know.

But what a pleasant surprise on the other side ! a great little R&B romper ' When The Going Get's Rough', well worth the £15 to £30 it fetches
