June 11, 200717 yr Very sad to hear that Kim Tolliver has passed away after a long illness. She was tragically underrated and I'll always remember her for "Learn To Get Along Without You", "Standing Room Only" etc. Paul Mooney Totally agree Paul, a star that never really shone. For me I guess it's "I Don't Know What Foot To Dance On" and more recently, the brilliant deep soul masterpiece "Where Were You" Best, John.

June 11, 200717 yr very sad news indeed sadder as long time readers may recall quite a few years ago (late 90s I think) Andrew Hamilton passed on some recent photos and also the news on here that she was in a hospital and in a very bad way back then, RIP Kim the original post from then can be read here

June 13, 200717 yr An underated impassioned singer. I concur with Gareth that her greatest recording is "I'm Losing The Feeling" I was actually thinking about Kim Tolliver on the way home from Cleethorpes oddly enough. God knows what sparked it. Sadly missed. Richard B Edited June 13, 200717 yr by Richard Bergman

June 15, 200717 yr Losing The Feeling - kim tolliver - chess lp As requested, amazing vocals by an amazing singer, not sure this is my favorite track on album, which shows what a mighty album it is. For Mr Sweeney who I am eternally gratefull for tipping me on to this LP. Sad Sad loss of a great talent, one of the greatest soul singers?
June 15, 200717 yr Where Were You - kim tolliver - rojac 12" Mighty Mighty performance, absent parents look away now. Just one of my favorite moments on record, the full version as you can hear her pain clearer. One of those so good it hurts records, but really this time......RIP Kim
