May 7, 200817 yr I can see Sandy Holt ( the guy with the Soul fist round his neck), Julie Bebb who went on to work for Casino Classics I think, Gid, and is it Vernon? We used to be like battle tops at Wigan as we spun in opposite directions and whenever we clashed we both went flying. Good mate over the years ( especially after dragging him out the pool at Wigan when he was drowning) still see him out and about now, top guy By the way did someone nick all the tee shirts???

I really like all the footage apart from the excerpt where there are five or six dancers in what appears to be a gym dancing around with mullets and bowl haircuts with no tops on. Jesus speed really messes up ones fashion sense. Hideous stuff and it appears a bit contrived compared to the rest of the footage where people are actually in a club they would be in whether there were cameras there or not.

Or as we used to call it, Morecombe. I think it was originally shot for a Dani Behr piece on The Word.

May 13, 200817 yr Sorry the velours have the best version, no contest. Great spinner though, dont see it much now, although not sure where you get a spin in to most of the top 100 played today. In fact, there not much northern soul dancing action anyway these days (as was 73/80) with so many floaters, modern beats and Rock and Roll played today. Not that Im complaining as variety is the SOL as they say, and not many could dance at full pelt for more than a handfull of records anyway.(Me included). Ed
