I buy/sell 45s out of Milwaukee for about 10 years now and seen 2 copies ever. Considering its a monster tune I'd say this would make it fairly valuable. No one knows it though so I could see a stray ebay copy going cheap. I know what I'd sell a spare for but don't want to ruin this guys thread, so

i gave $100 last year and it took some finding, this is a lot harder than you'd think imo

I think $100 is really a cheap price in relation to the rarity and quality of this 45. As far as a comparison of the rarity between Trackdown + Too Good To Be True I'd have to put them in a dead tie. Magic Touch titles are funny, half of em are everywhere.. the other half NEVER turn up (Mar-J's, Tornado's, handful of different Harvey titles, Sean 'Mr Esquire' Taylor, etc)

There is a wikipedia article which is missing a lot of titles, but it has this:

that's crazy, i've never seen or heard of that cuca title. I recorded all of Harvey's singles for him, it took up two CDs, I thought I had all the singles but I guess I'm missing that cuca title...

certainly sold mine to soon then. It was never talked about and seemed to have very little demand when I sold it.

its is a good uptempo record just not the kind of thing I realy feel the need to keep.

Was played at the Torch late 72 use to be plenty copies knocking around in the 70,s Global records in

Princess St Manchester had copies and if i remember rightly Record corner use to put them in their Soul Packs

I sold a copy to that nice man Mr Donnelly couple years back for £25 and i saw a copy at Lowton earlier

this year for £40 so i would guess if you are looking for this 45 then you have a much better chance of locating one

here in the UK than Stateside.

Independency/I Want to Apologize is a really rare one but a couple of us in MKE have it. it's on the Harvey CD that the Musical Memories guys put together as well. Really good 45 actually, one side is northern and the other is a great ballad. Bootleg/Monkeytime 67' is a really tough pull as well.

yeah, I have the bootleg / monkey time and have seen it for sale a few times, but never even knew about that other one. have you ever had or have ever seen that betty moorer and the ambassadors 45 on cuca? Also, have you seen some rock LP by the Bonnevilles that Sam Pace said had the first instance of the esquires on record?

i sold another copy privately for more. it was cleaner though. i'm gonna go out on a limb and say a mint copy would be about 350 GBP or so if properly advertised.

yeah, there are a lot of odd odessa titles outside of the common ones. I will pm you audio of the other devils 45 later, it has a deep soul side that would appeal to the deep soul collectors I think. I have a double of the rare gary brown on magic touch if you need that and want to trade (it's a much better version than the brownie 45).
