This is one of those records that is factually CRAP. "IMO" doesn't come into it.

I'm not saying it's any good - someone gave it me on a cd and asked me to cut it on a 45 so I wondered who it was (he now says Terry Martin & The Charmers by the way)

Name him and shame him, that's what I say.

Released 45 is Charmers on Pip... there is also an unreleased alternate version by them, mistakenly credited to Big Maybelle on the "Girls About Town" compilation. Released again on one of the "Where the Girls Are" CDs under correct artist.

Can't listen to the clip btw as at work but sounds like it is that unreleased version.

link

I can't listen to it again, but that's not because the clip won't work.

I'd best stop this, before I get lynched by the country and western normans. :D

just compared both versions,

one up here sounds very basic compared to the 45

45 has a more polished/finished sorta sound to it

yeah pip not dib - read upside down

Presume it's called If You're Looking For Trouble?  No idea who it is.

It's "You sure got a pretty mouth buoy" by the Whip Crack Aways on Blue ridge mountain records out of rednecksville! :D
