  1. Don't know whether this has been done before , but I was just thinking of the amount of album tracks that would have been worthy of 45 releases making them 'user friendly' for the northern scene, Temptations I Gotta Find A Way... Marvelettes Only Your Love Can Save Me Gladys Knight He's My Kinda Fellow to name but three Any more out there? why did they never make it to 45 release? ps I'm talking about general USA/UK release not one off's from Outer Mongolia etc.
  2. Best Wishes Ian
  3. above post refers to Rock me till i want no more alternative vocal of Penguin Breakdown.

  6. Thats the 1st pressing available from all good record shops c76 Congress was part of the Kapp family the wl boots on that label carry black text with a red star,Patti and the Emblems, Freddie Butler etc. so I guess your red text WLD is kosha. Brilliant bit of blue-eyed soul should be i everyones top 10
  7. monochrome lable (pink) 2nd boot has the 8th avenue aviators o the other side
  8. Flying Dutchman changed distributors from Atco to RCA around the time of this release (1972) perhaps this was the reason There are at least 2 variations of lable on other releases.
  9. Never really got on together like the Tops then?
  10. Probably due to the fact the Tops started out as a jazz group and at that period were happy singing it in that style. Anyone catch the Temptations as a four piece singin I Can't get next to you on the Motown at the BBC program after.

  17. Somebody once told me that this record was withdrawn because a dog 'yelped' in the studio (although what it was doing there in the first place is anyones guess)' its roundabout 0.47s what do you think?

  23. Colin Curtis used to play Open Sesame and not long after bands like Kenni Dhelt with Prhana, the Kay Gees, Mass Production & Slave got plays Brass Construction was just the tip of the iceberg! Love to have heard Hudson People or Alphonse Mouzon in that setting (a bit too late methinks)
