  11. Apologies if I misunderstood your thread Len, I thought you were asking for people who have influenced you personallyAs for Rob being messy - he sure was, and then some (then again we all were!)
  12. Butch has played some of the best records on the planet but for me it has to be Rob Marriott. Fantastic taste, always willing to share his knowledge, dead approachable and messy as fcuk Pete Lawson right up there also, along with Ady Harley and Glyn Reardon from Nuneaton

  16. Great stuff! Got a tape of Butch DJing at Droylsden somewhere. Always makes me laugh, he says "throw an oldie in every now and then ... only now and then though"
  17. Always loved these and rate them just as much today. Everyone a winner in my book and will always get me out of my seat Martha & Vandellas - Nowhere to Run (still love this and will dance to it whenever and wherever) Tommy Neal - Going to a Happening Brothers - Are You Ready for This Darrell Banks - Our Love is in the Pocket Bobby Garrett - My Little Girl (no apologies for this tune what so ever, just awesome)
  18. Andy Dennison has not long put an Ethics up for sale

Someone put a record up for sale a while ago but I didn't have the money at the time. Fast forward a few weeks when I did have the money I did a search to see if it had sold, saw nothing on the thread to say it had so I pm'd him asking if he still had it for sale - he completely blanked me despite reading my pm. Would it have killed him to say sorry it's gone? Good business sense if nothing else I would have thought. All he's succeeded in doing is losing a potential customer as I don't even bother looking at his sales lists anymore I really can't get my head around the manners of some people (or should I say lack of)

Call me old fashioned but if someone sends you a pm it's good manners to reply surely, whatever the reason for the message
  21. Thanks Chas and everyone (where's the blushing cheek smiley gone) Ts good - better than me for sure!
