  1. That 'scan' is fine - C 965 B1 > H, plus the 'grip' edge
  2. Edited. My Jack Russel says my grammer is appawling!
  3. I've just remembered being refused a sale.. Anyone else ever been turned down even though it was apparently for sale to 'general public'?
  4. It would be 1982 and the guest big name DJ started off with Gail Adams, Angela Clemens - Give me just a little more time & Atlantic Starr - Circles, ask him it was also there at the Fleet that night
  5. Are they same 'swirls' that were on the Johnny Hunnicut & 'just a boys dream' that were done few years ago? If so, have some of these new lot got paper labels and some not?
  6. I was concurring with you about no one complaining or criticising, when you would about things in everyday life. We have a myriad of threads on here about the best socks to wear at a Wigan revival matinee, but not one about your all time worst northern DJ's
  7. I've just had my weekly peruse of Manship's Auction 'Latest Additions' and there's nowt there. Being not right in the head, I thought, wouldn't it be funny if the next time I did, there was an auction comprising solely of all the recent "look-a-likes" ! "The holy grail of second issue, trophy repress, collecting, complete in their birth sleeves - just right for today's scene"
  8. No bugger dares to complain about anything on this scene. If you do you are vilified as some sperm of the devil who should be killed for criticising the promoter/DJ who is a wonderful person, and has been on the scene longer than anyone. Perhaps it is conceived as 'bad form', or there's an unwritten rule like a '' Lovie'' criticising a fellow 'Lovie' for being a crap actor? I often wonder why I can't remember a thread about your "all time top 5 worst DJ's" on here!
  9. Simon T posted a post in a topic in Look At Your Box
Has or does anyone provide a "Provence" service for rare soul records?
  10. Didn't Dick Coombes DJ regularly at the Fleet at some time?
  11. I can empathise with that, there's only so many times a person can endure listing to Right Track and George Blackwell ! Didn't you used to start the niter off at some point?
  12. Whatever happened to the J D Bryant acetate?
  13. Now that is very witty, Peter! I too don't remember being outside for very long. How many entries were there to the Wirrina?
  14. Did you used to set off from The Falcon in Boston or The Pied Calf in Spalding?
  15. Gary Haines - Keep on going - Sound
  16. I'd kindly suggest you reload with the final hour as Todd Rundgren is one of the finest examples of music ever created and everyone should have the joy of listening to it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N48-K9z-HA4
  17. Perhaps he 'lost is way'? If you look at pictures of studios pre and post multi-track recording you'll see that with the with the advent of multi-track they started to cordon off some of the musicians, particularly the 'noisy' one e.g. the percussionists. Each had a way of signalling when they had 'lost their way' and so the entire recording would be wasted if they messed up). Listen to the guitar on Gene Pitney's 24 hours from Tulsa & around 2:40 (it wasn't Nile Rogers & the producer, wanted it left on the record) True story. I suppose the drummers went Cozy Powell? However, in this case I suspect it's someone on mic when they shouldn't have been after a finishing their tea/coffee, in a Tommy Copper spoon-jar-jar stylee! Sad fooker post of 2015 winner???
  18. If it is then the scene really is in a desperate sorry state It's a wedding reception, where everyone is saying everything is groovy when their tyres are flat. Hi Ho .........................................
  19. Just need this one to complete the collection any help would be appreciated. I am willing to offer up to five of your lovely English pounds plus a night with one of my harem of camels ( though it would be one of the uglier ones!)
  20. Talk about sublime to the ridiculous! This was one of my mother's favourite songs in the sixties. She also loved Frank Ifield and went to see him in Peterborough where the support group was a beat-combo called the Beatles! It's is a bit Vivian Carol though, don't you think?
