  1. I'm not too sure whether this would be classed as comedy, I just find it worrying! https://www.ebay.com/itm/371293907842?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Dunno what it will end up at, but does raise the bootlegging issues yet again.
  2. RIP Billy Butler, thank you for the music. I personally could never tire of The Right Track.
  3. This subject has been done to death. However as for admission charges I would say generally OVO events are cheaper. Here's an event, that I'd wager wasn't OVO and look at their admission charges! https://www.northernsouldownsouth.co.uk
  4. How about a copy of Billy Davis - Stanky in sales forum for the princely sum of £275, that made me laugh (comedy sale - get it?).
  5. Billy Butler - class act! Where do you start, Right Track, Sweet Darlin', Come Over To My Side, Nevertheless, I'll Bet You, amongst so many others. Thank You Billy.
  6. After going a bit overboard with the credit cards recently, I've had to reign in the spending a bit. However, I did manage to pick up this long time want for less than £7 including delivery from Spain! I've had a UK Tamla Motown release for years but always wanted a US original release. The 'B' side to the more famous I'll Pick A Rose For My Rose 'A' Side, You Got The Love I Love by Marv Johnson on Gordy.
  7. Is it Comic Relief time already?
  8. I'm no expert, but I'm sure Sassy was first, before Gamble.
  9. I would so dearly buy a copy of Pete Smiths autobiography, full of these sort of stories. Sorry Pete, but they do bring a smile to my face.
  10. That has brought a smile to my face.
  11. Anyone have a link to site for dates & ticket sales?
  12. I was just thinking the same.
  13. I played this out the other week, I love it! Dave Hamilton Orchestra - Who are you trying to fool WHO ARE YOU TRYING TO FOOL (INSTRO) - DAVE HAMILT…:
  14. Nick, I think I can safely say, we all wish we'd been the ones to discover it. Enjoy your rewards!
  15. Reached over 5 Grand already. If I had found this, it would have been sold before now. Sack load of cash and a Revilot copy, thank you very much!

  17. As it's payday on Friday, thought I'd ask for a couple of wants. These being: The Ambers - I Love You Baby - Verve - sorted Vonettes - Touch My Heart - Cobblestone - hopefully sorted on this, thanks. I've seen The Ambers on sites for £75, but I was hoping to get one for £50? As for the Vonettes looking to pay no more than £90. Would prefer clean labels and must be excellent condition. Thanks.
  18. Numerous favourite Kent LPs, Floorshakers, Footstompers & Soul Class 66 amongst others, spring to mind. As for for cd compilation, it has to be Sought After Soul 4CD compiled by Dave Flynn, has to be close to the top of the list!
  19. I have sent payment via friends and family to sellers (Pete S being just one) on here in the past. However I only do this if I have had previous dealings. On those occasions where sellers request family payment, I just add on 4% to cover their fees and protect myself if it's the first time I have dealt with them. Usually a short message explaining the reason behind it suffices. As someone else has stated about the message being a scam, doesn't a copy of the email appear on paypal when you log in?
  20. More often than not, on the rare occasion I get asked to dj locally, I manage to fit in one or two of the Kent singles. The last time was when I spun George Soule - Midnight Affair, which went down a treat!
  21. Happy Anniversay to Loma. Only last week received my latest vinyl purchase, which happened to be on Loma. The Apollas, You're Absolutely Right.
  22. Kent label was first. Others will no doubt provide information on the Noriega release.
  23. Remember Janine playing this at These Old Shoes.
  24. My copy is also tippexed over. I was worried about that until reading this thread. It's the small number in the writing at the top/middle of the label. It's more of a dot of tippex as opposed to a long line of it.
  25. I paid just under £100 for my copy last year on Ebay. Reason being it was the last one I required to complete the set. If you're buying it maybe possible to get one for £75 - £100, but they don't come up that often compared to others in the series. However just to confuse you and contradict myself, if selling one you could sell for £100+. Chris Anderton sold one on Ebay the other year, that went for just over £180!
