The Film - Reviews
Thinking on, i wonder if the ending has left it open for a follow up film ?, The two mates walking across the bridge at the end with the MVPS playing. Maybe they'll get to go to the states finally on that record trip, that would be a good film. Or the next film will be set 40 years in the future in 2014, the lads in their 50's bald and still mad on the music, lots of possibilities.................

The Film - Reviews
I saw it at the quad in Derby last night ,and have to say i totally enjoyed it. A Hollywood blockbuster it wasnt, but on the budget the film had, it did a superb job of re creating the social deprevassion of the early 70's northern England. Although i saw the trailler previously i went with an open mind. Maybe a bit over violent at times, but there was a story line, and it wasnt a cheesy documentry. Funniest thing for me was in the cafe area after the film, they put on a northern soul mobile disco lol.

Ever Had Your Heart Broken?
Northern soul is all about broken hearts, the records we sold but wish we hadn't, Relationships which come and go, friends that we miss, passed on or otherwise. But we still keep going back for more...........

The Older I Get The More New Stuff I Want To Hear
Great thread, and agree with all, however, another part of growing old is respecting other peoples views, and there are Soul people out there who are quiet happy listening to the sounds they are familiar with, and that view should also be respected.

Any info on the 'World Soul' Pressing that crops up sometimes ? ( Titled 'Walk on by', instead of, ' You can split ' ) it doesn't look like a UK pressing. Not often seen.
