just started sorting out a few 45s and found that i have quiet a few on this label , when did the label change from pink to the blue red and orange design as i have seen the parliaments dont be sore on both styles of label thanks in advance

the record grading should apply to both sides , if one side is in worse condition then this should be mentioned by the seller . nothing worse than getting a record and finding the b side is scratched and not mentioned especially if its a double sider , the value should be reduced considerably if one side is damaged too much even though its not the in demand side but as we know with northern soul people pay more than they should for records

got several of these shows on an mp3 disc last year , well worth listening to as ive heard some underplayed tunes that are new to me as well as some great classics

just bought the four tops lp on here , some great tracks on it

its just a carver with a stick on label ,i bought it from fingers and then sold it on ebay for what i paid for it to someone in spain who then sold it on here no such original vinyl exists all the tracks were burnt from the 3 track cdr that was put out to djs at the time

i play mine usually when they arrive , then play them occasionally if i am sorting some out to sell or occasionally to dj with but if im on the computer i often find myself just going to youtube or my itunes to listen to them as i cant be arsed to find the one i want then go to the record player and play them

i wish they would do a box set of this label , i have then all on a dodgy cdr set that sound good but would love to hear them all remastered etc have 31 so far on the original vinyl tho

funny one was when a mate was asked for some techno so i played sliced tomatos as rockafella skank instrumental and they enjoyed it

i was gutted when i bought a copy of frank wilson on auction , wanted a copy and paid £25000 to guarantee a good one , you should have seen my face when this record without a centre arrived that had some writing on the label arrived , i was so upset

b for me , if it plays ok then it will do u , never upgraded records unless they got damaged records were meant to be played

just heard this online and i wondered about price as i cant find it listed in my books and if its on a cd many thanks in advance

yes but the 2 at 50 sold so it meant that there was at least 3 people willing to pay that , the one at £200 is still there

last couple of copies of holding hands have been around £50 on red issue on ebay , boot is usually 12 pounds ish but some dealers chance it at £20 , holding hands probably worth a little more than the £50 but doesnt get played as much as the fantastic four or mellow so probably not as in demand with djs i have been collecting these and the hardest one i have seen on the label other than the scotts on swingers is im gonna live up to what she thinks , only about a £25 tune but doesnt appear as often as some of the other supposed rarities

there are only 3 categories these days mint ( new release or unplayed stock found in a warehouse ) knackered and wont play properly or has bits missing and sounds like a egg being fried and the 3rd is anything between the other 2 which is playable with marks which often has lots of ++++++++++ preceding whatever imaginary grade the seller chooses to use to try and get more money from the buyers and often includes the phrase ok for djing

likely that seller has a found an amount and only letting them out one at a time or maybe offering copies to highest bidders to maximise the return he would get

i got stung sending some lps to the usa , buyer said he didnt get them and i had to refund

i didnt know that the love affair wasnt the original , even seen it performed live recently by the lead singer on a 60's tour in leicester just checked out the robert knight version on youtube but still prefer the love affair version

You could always try and get in touch with ian levine as its his sort of area but lets not turn it into another hate thread about him please

will they be releasing the 45's individually in the future or are they only available in the box set?

there are some listed on ebay for £10 but they have no bids and others that have ended at that price unsold
