I'm sure there are some collectors of these "hip pocket" discs, but there doesn't seem to be any "real money" in it unless you've got something by the major collectable artists like Beatles (plus Apple Records and related), Jimi Hendrix, Abba, Doors, Madonna etc.

It relies even heavier on Peter Hamilton Generation's instrumental of "Hey Girl" on Jamie which is the track Ian re-edited/sampled into the Venicia Wilson tune. Which names are listed as writers to the Venicia Wilson track?

Then there's her Lambert/Potter-produced "Cameo" LP from 1974. Superb from beginning to end and worth its price for the version of Ashford/Simpson's "I Just Wanna Be There" alone. Other top tracks are "Breakin' Up A Happy Home", "Who Gets Your Love" and the fine version of Al Wilson's "Who Could Be Loving You". Superb album!!!

It's a good one, but hard to find a truly mint copy of this. It's pressed with very low volume and the tiniest scratch causes "clicks" on this 45. I've had somewhere between 5-10 copies over the years and none of them have played perfect.

1965-1971 according to the discography I have. They released about 140 45s and 25 LPs.

There you go! It was me who was confused all along. At least I got the piano/organ blue/green label variations right and provided sound clips of them...

Keep in mind that the "blue label" copies with "I'm Having So Much Fun" on the flipside includes a DIFFERENT version of "First Taste Of Hurt" which has got a piano playing in the background and in my opinion inferior vocals. The easier to find "green label" copies with "Funky Funky Twist" on the flipside has got the "usual" version of "First Taste Of Hurt" with organ playing in the background. Have a listen below. Yes, probably. But you never know. I read in a description that the Valentine Adams is apparently "DEEP!".

You're right about need to synchronise Tony... It's probably the same label as I just found out that this release is from Brooklyn, NY (as is the Paul Walters). Is that Valentine Adams any good?

Have you found three 45s on that label! Very, very obscure label indeed. I've searched, but have never been able to find any other Paul Walters 45s and the only other person I know who's got a copy of his 521 release (after I sold mine to you), is Matt Weingarden (a.k.a. "Mr. Finewine") in New York. Do you have any info on the two other 521 label releases?

I've only ever seen that Tou-Sea 45 by Zilla Mayes and I agree, it's a really good one. There is an early/mid-50s artists called Zilla Mays who issued 45s on Checker, Groove, Brunswick, Mercury and Coral - can it be the same artist? I don't know. There's some great stuff on Tou-Sea: Tou-Sea 125 - Shannon Cannon - Right Back / World Apart Tou-Sea 126 - Ray Alegre - In My Corner / You're Driving Me Crazy Tou-Sea 127 - Johnny Green - Something You Got / Green Thumb Tou-Sea 128 - Mill Evans - When I'm Ready / Trying To Find A Home Tou-Sea 129 - Jay Roy - Blue As A Man Can Be / Working For You Tou-Sea 130 - Sonny Fisher - Oh Love, This Is Sonny / Oh Love, This Is Sonny Tou-Sea 131 - Gus "The Groove" Lewis - Let The Groove Move You / Together Tou-Sea 132 - Zilla Mayes - I Still Love You / All I Want Is You Tou-Sea 133 - Willie Harper - A Certain Girl / I Don't Need You Anymore Tou-Sea 134 - Warren Lee - Underdog Backstreet / Just Like A Woman I've had most of them. Ray Algere is a superb uptempo New Orleans dancer, Johnny Green is a (blue-eyed?) stomper b/w a mod type of instrumental, Gus Lewis and Warren Lee are good funk dancers and the rare Mill Evans "When I'm Ready" 45 is the exact same recording as on the Esquires LP on Bunky.
