  8. Didn't this get a release on the Oakland Zone 2003 album, or is it a different take ?
  9. Hi Mark, hope you're well mate. Is it time for the Paul Philips tale of the King Tutt 12" ? Cheers Pete
  10. Got to disagree with you there Ian, 45 seconds into Body Music, the word 'YOWSAH' can clearly be heard. In my world, that makes it Disco :-)
  11. Check out- The Strikers- Inch By Inch or Body Music Unlimited Touch- Searching To Find The One Proper Disco :-)
  12. If the ones close due to lack of support, doesn't it just prove that the punters don't care what format they dance to?
  13. I'm with you on this Jocko, weak and wishy washy. I do however think the best thing they did was the cover version of 'Native New Yorker'
  14. I've got the 'Jump Start 1 + 2' both well worth a punt, if you like your uptempo and jazzy stuff.
  15. It was released in a picture sleeve on a 7", from memory she was looking really good on the pic. It shouldn't be a hard one to pick up. It sounds a bit 'sweet and sickly' to my ears now!
  16. A Searling play as a new release, late days of Wigan
  17. He'll have had it cut onto a carver. Sam doesn't know how to operate a cd player :-)
  18. https://colincurtisconnection.blogspot.com/ There's a great interview with CC being interviewed by Greg Wilson, well worth a listen, fascinating stuff
  19. OMG ! People were dancing and enjoying themselves, whilst reissues were being played !!! How could this possibly happen ??? The northern scene is so lucky to have guys like you policing it. KTF
  20. Sadly some people haven't.
  21. Colin Curtis is very much at the forefront of the Modern soul scene in this country, still breaking new sounds as he did 40 years ago. Is this thread going to turn into another done to death OVO policy. Zzzzzzzzzzzzz 'Cameras over the decks to demonstrate the OVO policy' I suppose you could zoom in and check the matrix numbers too. Was it advertised as an OVO night ?
  22. Love the Sam Williams Singers 'For My People' track.
