  1. Great record and a truly forgotten oldie IMO Memories of the latter casino years for me, not sure if it was played any earlier? The b-side ( I Can Give You Love) is absolutely brilliant as well Message to DJs - get this on the decks!!
  2. Good stuff, what was the dance floor reaction though? Will you get booked again?

  4. Larry Chubby Reynolds - Sweet Tooth
  5. Without wanting to contribute to the "shit storm" I'd just like to know how many records he actually sells at those prices and who buys them. A mate bought a record a few years ago from a well know DJ for £80 and this guy had it on the site for £400
  6. RIP Mel, one of THE records....... thanks
  7. You bringing it Saturday Ted ?
  8. The world's full of idiots
  9. Fancy having to dance with a woman hanging on to ya? Yuk, stop cramping my style duck
  10. Theres no reason to a lot of his prices - Persionettes OOTP pressing £30 You can get one on ebay for £3 easily
  11. The top and bottom of this is that too many "DJ"s are scared stiff of clearing the floor even for one or two records. After all its a cardinal sin to do so and if the floor's not packed from the first record till the last its a crap night
  12. The original has a stamped in H directly opposite the matrix, no H means bootleg. Very alike other than that. John Manships price guide 5th edition would be very useful to you (dont buy the new one it hasn't got the bootleg/original info in it)
  13. The bootleg sure is a nice looking one
  14. Is this a 70s recording? Always had in in my head as 60s but just listened to it and not so sure. Not that it matters, just never had it pigeon holed that way in my mental filing system
  15. So you wouldn't be interested in owning this record then?
  16. Danced to it plenty of times but can't say I've ever noticed
  17. The one with (I love you) in lower case are boots aren't they?
  18. Surely thats taking the "original" argument too far? Just because it wasn't in the first run of pressings and done slightly later? Are you seriously saying this shouldn't be of interest? The only thing that would matter to me is that its not a bootleg or one pressed years later due to demand
  19. Everything that is wrong with the scene (if you can call it that) is summed up in this post No DJ worth his salt should have and play records they dont like. We shouldn't have to cater for a wide variety of anything Jean Genie punters and MacDonalds records, thank god there's still proper venues like Lifeline, Burnley & the 100 club
  20. Because most people at those venues are........ no better not
  21. In my world these should be main room spots but thats for a different topic ( or maybe not ) How good would that have been at prime time? It would have rocked my boat
  22. Steve L replied to Sammy's topic in Look At Your Box
Both sides played in Redemption over the weekend by Andy & Mick, top notch
  23. Yeah he's a man with extremely sensible prices.......not
