got there about 7, small but cozy venue, dancefloor was small, but perfectly formed. saw lots of faces from the past , heard lots of music from the past. lots of cleethorpes spins going on, to a very appreciative crowd. Ian Wills made the event for me. Cecil Washington, Vicky Baines, Carol Anderson, Linda Jones etc, brought back memories of my era (79-81) at station road. but the cleethorpes guys played some blinders !! Chris Dalton , Dave Raistrick had the dancefloor bangin' ! good food outside, plus the added feature of a large marquee, if you needed fresh air. all in all, a great day of memories, with the added bonus of a club that served sensibly priced drinks, with plenty of seating . nice one coops & co.
  1. you have this track, but want to know what it is, on this forum ? 🫤
  2. i did a couple of those . only bus from grantham was like 10am, so i was waiting for doors, stupid early !
  3. Isley Bros, that's the way love is. Lovely demo. £40 posted
  4. Truly saddened by this news. Brian has been a part of the scene forever ! even the St Ives days, he was a stalwart. Mr M's, all Peterborough events, late 70s early 80's, to the Right Track (Parkway). Oddfellows , etc etc. he was king of them all, a proper legend !! there was nobody, who could generate such force to fill a dancefloor. RIP Brian, was a pleasure
  5. line and track No second chance
  6. we're talkin originally played from LP only . same as Bobby Hutton's piece of the action . those days were only LP , or boots with cover up titles !

Address is London rd, newark (Behind ASDA petrol station). ample parking, sensible bar prices. NG24 1TN
  12. 100 pounds of pain, epitomises Nottm Palais , for me. Love it still. I played it out regularly, over the last few years. Great record, that always gets a good reaction RIP
  13. Betty Boo - say it isn't so
  14. The Spinners. YIKES !! thats lovely though. The Ellusions, probably the worst recording ever put on vinyl, but the vocals are so good, the sax solo is equally as good. fabulous record !

  21. me too. ive had an internal examination, 6 weeks ago. thankfully all clear. i just have age related issues (no explanation required) . get looked at guys.. one chap at work, had his prostate removed just before christmas, we had no idea he was even poorly. kept it quiet out of bravado and embarrassment, but hes so relieved, he talks about it openly now.
