1980's Northern Low Point
peterborough (various) , Stafford, Clifton hall, Alfreton, Hinckley, Loughboro, Oddfellows..... the early 80's were a whirlwind of venues. ive forgotten more than i remember. some great nights. especially places like oddfellows, that had one room , playing everything, from wheel oldies, to present day releases . superb memories!

1980's Northern Low Point
Blimey. we had a punch up in Nottm palais, still got a lump on back of my hand, where a shoe hit me. we had to leg it, whilst the bouncers held the instigators at the door (they were clearly out for aggro) i also saw another fight, at St Ives, one of the pugilists is on here, he shall remain nameless 🙃

busy/not busy dancefloors?
if its any consolation... i played (at a very well known oldies event) Such misery - the precisions. yup, tumbleweed ! happens to everyone, at some point. any 'DJ' with an ounce of sense, should be able to judge a dancefloor, so out came: 'if this is love' that sorted it 😆🙄

- Legendary singer Frankie Beverly dies at the age of 77..
very Sad... i went (alone) to watch MAZE, Rock City , Nottm (none of my mates had heard of him/them). was blown away by the musicianship, the songs, the voice, the soul. had to go again, 'back in stride' tour at Hammersmith... that time, 4 of us went, all 4 of us, lifelong Frankie Beverly fans. impossible songs to cover, even play along to, such is the musical genius of the man. a true giant of our time. RIP friend- Cleethorpes winter Gardens 1980's
