  1. navy blue with silver lettering is the stock copy. not seen a light blue stock, maybe it's faded? the obvious promo looks like this
  2. obviously the promo is light blue, but that's real easy to spot, so i'm actually not sure what you mean? i've only ever seen dark blue Verve stock of this. can you post a pic?
  3. unless in the rare instance the original rights holder presses up a lookalike...... like if the Mr Lucky 45 in the other thread had been redone with a more authentic label (although is the guy in question there the actual rights holder?)
  4. ok, but there is still a lot of overlap. Many other counterfeits are also bootlegs.
  5. let the PM avalanche begin in 3...2....1.....
  6. to make it look even more authentic?
  7. https://www.ustream.t...corded/25126040 more r&b 45s this week
  8. just played this at a gig last weekend, i like that 45.
  9. ah, hadn't thought of the canadian option.....
  10. wouldn't it be awesome to have a time machine........
  11. It should come as no mystery to Numero friends, fans, and followers that we have a large place in our heart for the city of Cleveland. While our occupations demand that we spend the majority of our days navigating the past, it's both encouraging and reassuring to spend an epic night out in a place that you've only previously dusted for fossils. The Lou Ragland show Friday night at the Beachland Ballroom was very special, and we thank everyone who traveled across town (and in some instance, across country) to witness the Traveling Man play hits from his eccentric songbook. Enthusiastic citizens from old and new Cleveland were in attendance—grown folks, young folks, record store owners and operators, professional roller skaters, ladies playing air guitar with their walking sticks, et al. A man who was seen carrying his 9-foot dreadlocks for most of the night did the city a service by flying in saxophonist and Ragland collaborator Gus Hawkins (see also: S.O.U.L.) to join Ragland's band, which included original Hot Chocolateers Herb Pruitt on bass and Pam Hamilton on violin. And while we'd spent plenty of time with Lou over the years, it was great to meet his children (two of which sang back-up for Friday's concert), plus several of his grandchildren. Lou is beloved in Cleveland, and despite a 30-year hiatus from the Forrest City, he proved he can still command a crowd in his hometown. In a sentence: He's still got it.
  12. reminds me https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nmqGybt7-4U
  13. that will probably be the one i'm thinking of since your list was one of the ones i got last week (i also totally forgot to look for which list when i got home after posting that response)
  14. weird, would expect the later era volt sleeve to be a mismatch & that it should have had a picture sleeve originally? Most of the other Stax jukebox EP's I've seen had small spindle holes. I've had the Dock Of The Bay EP but it's different to the one you posted.
  15. dammit bobbi, now i'll never live it down
  16. yeah, not the same person, I figure Krissie is a girl? I'm not.
  17. the doug & dave on USA isn't in the same rarity/price league as the other records listed in this thread. both doug anderson & dave/leon bonds have a few other things. there is other doug & dave stuff, doug anderson solo stuff, they were both members of the sonics & dave/leon bonds was a pretty prolific songwriter & guitarist on the new orleans scene at that time, he has a lot of writing credits & session stuff as a guitarist as well as his own solo stuff. you can catch up on some of it all here for starters: https://greenvilleand...ersondoug-dave/ https://greenvilleand...-the-hi-liters/
